استقبلت مؤسسة حماية للمرأة والطفل منذ بداية عملها العديد من الشكاوي اعتداء ضد النساء والأطفال وتنوعت مابين خلافات أسرية , وشكاوي عنف وأهمال ضد الأطفال , بالإضافة الى حالات عنف لفظي واعتداء جسدي موجه ضد النساء . حيث كانت النسبة الأعلى من الشكاوي الواردة إلى المؤسسة تدور حول قضية الإنفاق وعدم التزام الأزواج بعد الطلاق بالإنفاق على الأسرة حتى بعد صدور حكم نهائي من المحكمة . دون إدراك من الازواج لحجم المسؤولية التي في أعناقهم مسببين للأم العائل الوحيد للأسرة الكثير من الضغوطات النفسية التي تجعلها عاجزة أمام متطلبات الأبناء واحتياجاتهم
الجدير بالذكر أن مؤسسة حماية للمرأة والطفل تسعى جاهدة إلى تقديم المساعدة اللازمة والدعم النفسي لضحايا هذا النوع من القضايا وتقوم بتوجيههن للمطالبة بحقوقهن من خلال تقديم الاستشارات القانونية المجانية
